SKIP - Send a Kid to Israel Partnership

 SKIP ( Send-a-Kid-to-Israel Partnership) is a special program open to students in the third through sixth grades. The SKIP is a program which offers a way for families to accumulate funds for a future Israel Experience trip for their child/children.
SKIP is a joint partnership between Chicago area congregations, the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago and individual families, in which each contributes to a SKIP savings plan. Am Yisrael Congregation’s contribution is $40 per year per SKIP enrolled student, the Jewish Federation contributes $85 per year per SKIP enrolled student, and the Am Yisrael family yearly contribution is $130 per child, for a total yearly contribution of $255. These funds are held in a bank account and earn interest until the time your child takes their Israel Experience trip.

Young people who participate in the SKIP program for the full seven years (grades 3 - 9) will have approximately $2000, including interest, to use toward their Israel Experience trip. Skip funds are available for use time after 9th grade and age 26. Furthermore, the family portion of the SKIP contributions, plus interest, is FULLY REFUNDABLE at any time should your child not participate on an Israel Experience program.
The goal of the SKIP program is to make an Israel Experience trip a part of each child’s Jewish education. The Deadline for registration is November 30th. Please mail the completed enrollment forms, along with your check ($130 for each child), to Am Yisrael, SKIP Registration, 4 Happ Rd., Northfield, IL 60093.
